About Me

WELCOME FOODIES! ADRIENNE HERE… A STAY-AT-HOME MOM SHARING MY LOVE FOR FOOD.

The voice, cook, and mom behind Appetites Anonymous. I live in Atlanta, Georgia, with my husband Jemmy, and our two amazing kids, an energetic 11-year-old and a sweet 7-year-old who always keep us on our toes.

I’m a full-time stay-at-home mom and part-time dreamer, recipe maker, and food lover. Life at home can be busy (especially in the kitchen!), but that’s where the fun begins.

I started this blog to share the food I cook for my family every day, meals that are easy to make, full of flavor, and meant to be enjoyed with the people you love most.

How It All Began?

A few years ago, I was sitting at the kitchen table during nap time, covered in flour from baking cookies with the kids, thinking about how much joy cooking brings me. I realized I had a growing list of family-favorite recipes scribbled in notebooks, saved on my phone. That’s when I got the idea: what if I shared these recipes with others who love food as much as I do?

And just like that, Appetites Anonymous was born.

At first, it was just a little side project. I would post a recipe every now and then, simple dinners, lunchbox snacks, or a cookie recipe my kids couldn’t stop asking for. But soon, more and more people started visiting the site. I was blown away! It felt like I was building a cozy kitchen online where we could all gather, laugh, and share good food.

What You’ll Find Here?

This blog is for anyone who loves food, and by the way, you don’t need fancy tools or hard-to-find ingredients. I keep things simple, practical, and tasty. If I can make it in my kitchen with two hungry kids asking for snacks every 10 minutes, so can you!

Here’s what you’ll find:

  • Quick and Easy Weeknight Meals – Because we all have those “what’s for dinner?” days.
  • Fun Snacks for Kids – School-friendly snacks and lunches.
  • Sweet Treats – Cookies, cakes, and simple desserts for every occasion.
  • Family Favorites – Tried-and-true recipes that always bring smiles.

Every recipe comes from my real life and real kitchen. I only share what my family eats and loves. If something turns out just “okay,” I go back and tweak it until it’s just right.

Cooking with Love (and a Little Help)

People sometimes ask me, “How do you cook so much with two kids at home?” The honest answer is—I don’t do it alone! My husband, Jemmy, is my biggest supporter. He’s my taste tester, my late-night dish washer, and the one who cheers me on when I stay up editing recipes or snapping photos. And my kids? They’re my little helpers, mixing batter, licking spoons, and giving their honest opinions. (Trust me, kids don’t hold back!)

Cooking in our house is never quiet, and rarely neat. But it’s filled with love, laughter, and the smells of something delicious in the oven. That’s what I try to bring into this blog: real moments, real food, and real joy.

More Than Just Recipes

Yes, this blog is full of food, but it’s also full of stories. Every recipe has a little memory behind it. The soup I made when we were all sick and needed something warm. The birthday cake that flopped the first time but turned out perfect the second time. The easy pasta dish we throw together on busy weeknights when everyone’s running in different directions.

What Keeps Me Going?

Running a blog while raising a family isn’t always easy. There are days when the recipe doesn’t turn out, or the photos don’t look the way I hoped. Sometimes I burn the cookies (oops), or I forget to write down the measurements (double oops). But what keeps me going is YOU—the readers.

When someone emails me to say, “My kids loved your mac and cheese!” or leaves a comment like “This recipe saved dinner tonight!” it makes all the work worth it. I love knowing that something I cooked in my kitchen helped someone else in theirs.

Let’s Be Friends

I’m so glad you’re here! Whether you came for a recipe, a snack idea, or just to scroll through some food photos, I hope you’ll stay a while. This space is for YOU. I want it to feel like we’re sitting at my kitchen table, sipping coffee, and chatting about what to make for dinner.

If you ever have a question, want to say hello, or just want to share your own food story, I’d love to hear from you. You can email me anytime or find me on social media (I love chatting on Pinterest and Facebook!).
