Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground sirloin
  • 1 cup shredded pepper jack cheese
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 jalapeño cored, seeded, and minced
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • healthy pinch salt and pepper
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 4 brioche hamburger buns
  • burger toppings: sliced cheese, cooked bacon, sliced red onions, sliced tomatoes, mayo

Instructions

  1. Combine ground sirloin, pepper jack, cream cheese, minced jalapeño, minced garlic, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Mix using your hands then form into 4 patties then place them on a plate and let chill in the fridge while you cook your bacon (step 2).
  2. Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Once the pan is hot, add the bacon then fry until crispy, about 8 minutes. Remove from the skillet then place on a paper towel lined plate.
  3. With the skillet still heating over medium (and full of bacon grease), add the patties then cook on each side for about 6-8 minutes or until it reaches an internal temp of at least 165F. Top burgers with cheese slices when you have about 1-2 minutes left of cooking time.
  4. Serve burgers on buns with bacon slices and other desired toppings!
