Loaded with lean ground beef and crushed tomatoes plus lots of garlic and italian spices… this weeknight bolognese recipe comes together in 30 minutes and will please the whole fam! Swears!

Ingredients
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 large yellow onion diced
- 6 garlic cloves minced
- healthy pinch sea salt and black pepper
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 2 tsps dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp dried red pepper flakes
- 1 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
- 3/4 cup beef broth
- 1/3 cup finely grated parmesan cheese
- 12 oz your favorite pasta noodle
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the onions, garlic, and a healthy sprinkle of sea salt and pepper then sauté for about 6-8 minutes.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up to distribute the meat evenly. Brown the beef until it’s no longer pink.
- Transfer onion beef mixture to your slow cooker then add the oregano, red pepper flakes, crushed tomatoes, broth, and grated cheese then stir to combine. Cover and cook on high for 4 hours.
- About 30 minutes before you’re ready to eat, cook your pasta according to the package instructions.
- Divide pasta evening between bowls, top with bolognese sauce (and additional shredded parmesan if desired), serve with mixed greens and balsamic vinaigrette (recipe below) then enjoy!
