I feel SO uncool. On Sunday, I had to ask Tom what this whole Tom Brady goat thing was all about. Apparently, goat means Greatest Of All Time. And apparently everyone else in the world knew that but me. It also took me a solid week to figured out that RN on social media means ‘right now’, not a ‘registered nurse’. I was over here like why are all these people talking about registered nurses?! Sometimes life is hard. You know what’s not hard? This chili recipe. And you should make it RN.
Helpful hint… Don’t buy Le Creuset pieces in white… THEY GET REALLY DIRTY. And don’t clean off easily. See above.
Am I cool now? Goooooooooood.
So this sweet corn chili recipe is… Actually wait…
Side note: I used to have my blog formatted where all the text would show up in lowercase letters but I think that was confusing and hard to read for people soo I switched it back to normal everyday correct formatting of the English language. You’re welcome America.
Back to chili. And yes, this time it’s chili not chile. I just like screwing with you guys.
30 MINUTE SWEET CORN CHILI. Yes. Only thirty minutes. Perfect for weeknight dinners or weekend dinners if you don’t like spending hours in the kitchen during your weekend (unlike me because I’m a weirdo).
Awesome ingredients that are in this chili include: lean turkey (because healthy), cumin + chili powder + garlic powder (because yum spices), white onion + jalapeños + corn (because yay veggies), black beans + diced tomatoes and green chiles + tomato paste (because chili duh). It’s both hearty and light and oh sooo satisfying. It makes my taste buds tingle. Is that weird? No. Is it weird when I read that out loud while proofing this post? Yes. Oh well. Let’s just go with it. Are y’all going to make chili soon?! DOOOO IT. Especially before the weather gets warm, which for us Michiganders won’t be for a while but you could live somewhere with nicer weather this time of year. I will never know. Either way… MAKE SOME CHILI. Your taste buds will thank youuuuuuuuuuuuuuu. Scouts honor.
Speaking of scouts… I ordered girl scout cookies from a coworker at the beginning of January. They should be in soon?!
I’M SO EXCITED. omg. Ok recipe time.

it’s hard to keep up (i had no idea what "cash me outside how bow dah" was until earlier this morning). and i always think of "why the face" from "modern family" 😂 love that you added corn; when i was younger, no one else in my family liked it in their chili, so i’d have to add it separately to my portion.

Yum! We’re over-the-snow-we-hope in Boise, but still need some chili goodness. Turkey is a great idea, thanks. I’m going to use canned corn (had coupons for FREE cans, that’s why) and think it’ll turn out just fine — after all, chili can be pretty elastic (so to speak) in its ingredients. Thanks for the inspiration!
