Shrub?! No not a bush… in cocktail terms, a shrub is a concentrated syrup that combines fruit, sugar, and vinegar. And that’s exactly what we have here with this DELICIOUS strawberry basil shrub! We let strawberries, basil, sugar, and vinegar sit together in a jar for about a week then strain it to become the most flavor bomb shrub ever. I added mine to a simple skinny margarita recipe and it was positively fabulous!
If you didn’t see this announcement on Instagram earlier this week… SURPRISE I’m pregnant again! So I actually made this “margarita” with Ritual’s Zero Proof Tequila Alternative and OMG does it taste legit!!! The “tequila” has the most amazing spicy pepper vibe that pairs so perfectly with the sweet strawberry basil shrub! Highly recommend checking out Rituals products even if you aren’t pregnant ha!
