If jalapeño popper burger doesn’t scream warm weather/grill season… I DON’T KNOW WHAT DOES. Ground sirloin stuffed with pepper jack, cream cheese, minced jalapeños, and garlic then sautéed or grilled to perfection then topped with crispy bacon and your other fav toppings. I mean it’s too good right?! NOPE. Recipe below 🙂
Jalapeño popper burger recipe:
jalapeño popper burgers
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground sirloin
- 1 cup shredded pepper jack cheese
- 4 oz cream cheese softened
- 1 jalapeño cored, seeded, and minced
- 3 garlic cloves minced
- healthy pinch salt and pepper
- 4 slices bacon
- 4 brioche hamburger buns
- burger toppings: sliced cheese, cooked bacon, sliced red onions, sliced tomatoes, mayo
Instructions
- Combine ground sirloin, pepper jack, cream cheese, minced jalapeño, minced garlic, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Mix using your hands then form into 4 patties then place them on a plate and let chill in the fridge while you cook your bacon (step 2).
- Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Once the pan is hot, add the bacon then fry until crispy, about 8 minutes. Remove from the skillet then place on a paper towel lined plate.
- With the skillet still heating over medium (and full of bacon grease), add the patties then cook on each side for about 6-8 minutes or until it reaches an internal temp of at least 165F. Top burgers with cheese slices when you have about 1-2 minutes left of cooking time.
- Serve burgers on buns with bacon slices and other desired toppings!
