Happy Monday friends! I made you a healthy little breakfast bowl to start out your week on a good note! You ready to try these mixed berry and sunbutter oatmeal bowls?!
These bowls are filled with SO MANY AMAZING things like: almond milk, old fashioned oats, maple syrup, SUNBUTTER, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, roasted sunflower seeds, and almonds!
You guys, old fashioned oats are so good for you. They are rich in calcium, iron, phosphorus, potassium, and zinc; plus they also provide many vitamins, like thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, folate and vitamin E. Lastly, old fashioned oats are a rich source of soluble fiber! Yay for oats!
I’ve already told you how awesome maple syrup is so let’s talk about SUNBUTTER. The day I discovered sunbutter was the BEST DAY EVER. You know my obsession with peanut butter? Well it’s double that for sunbutter. IT’S SO CREAMY AND DELICIOUS. I’m addicted. I buy the no sugar added kind so it’s just roasted sunflower seeds and salt. Sunflowers seeds are awesome little seeds that support digestion and heart health. They are also super rich in folate, good fats, vitamin E, selenium, and copper!
Next, we have berries. I loooooove berries. Did you know that one cup of berries has more vitamin C than a medium sized orange?! IT DOES. They are also a great source of fiber, folate, and potassium.
Lastly, we have the mighty almond!! Almonds are full of healthy fats, fiber, protein, magnesium, and vitamin E. They have health benefits that include reducing blood pressure plus lowering cholesterol and blood sugar levels. Umm score? Yeahhhh.
SO are you convinced of the magic these little bowls contain?! Good.
If not, let’s just talk about how delicious they are!! We have creamy oatmeal made with almond milk and maple syrup, topped with delicious sunbutter, fresh juicy berries, and crunchy sunflower seeds and almonds! Creamy, juicy, crunchy, and OH SO DELICIOUS. Seriously, these bowls hit all the right elements plus they will keep you full for a jam-packed morning!
