Not just cajun shrimp sliders… cajun shrimp burger sliders! Awesome right?!
This recipe is super easier while still being extra flavorful… MY FAVORITE COMBO.
We just mix up minced shrimp with panko, an egg, greek yogurt, chives, lemon zest, and tony chachere’s original creole seasoning (AKA crack seasoning in my opinion) then form the mixture into eight slider patties. Fry ’em up in a hot skillet with butter then serve on slider buns topped with shredded lettuce, mayo, and maybe some hot sauce.
YUM. YUM. YUM.
Not that you really need the recipe now but here it is officially:
cajun shrimp sliders
Ingredients
- 1 lb large shrimp peeled, deveined, tail off, and thawed
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- ¼ cup plain greek yogurt
- 2 oz fresh chives minced
- zest of one lemon
- 2 tsps tony chachere’s original creole seasoning
- 4 tbsps butter
- 8 slider buns
- shredded lettuce
- mayo and hot sauce for serving
Instructions
- Place thawed, peeled, deveined, and tail off shrimp in the bowl of your food processor. Pulse until only small-medium bits remain.
- Transfer minced shrimp to a large bowl. Add breadcrumbs, egg, greek yogurt, minced chives, lemon zest, and tony chachere’s to the same large bowl. Stir using a rubber spatula until well combined. Divide mixture into 8 patties.
- Heat 2 tbsps butter in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat. Once butter is melted, add four of the shrimp patties. Let cook on each side for about 4 minutes or until golden and cooked through. Repeat with remaining butter and patties.
- Place cooked shrimp patties on bottom slider buns then top with shredded lettuce, a smidge of mayo and hot sauce then top slider bun!
